New Members:
I would like to welcome Tim Lang from Rangiora.
He has bought Frank Wrights absolute immaculate 185, ZK-FRW.
I would also like to welcome Richard Gorman from the Awatere Valley
in Marlborough. He owns ZK-CDY, ex Jock Montgomery.
Talking of planes changing hands, ZK-DOD (ex Griffith,) has gone back to
its original owner being Grant Halliday, and Paul Macdonald has sold
ZK-JPM to Nigel Griffith and he and Andrew Tilby have bought ZK-CMV
off Kim McKay.
Hugh Robinson from Culverton has bought ZK-JCW off Harry Gallagher
from Auckland.  Just to keep you all informed, Brian Doig tells me that
our group has 90 paid up members.
I am not sure how many 180 / 185 planes there are in New Zealand, but
a fair proportion of their owners must be members of our group
I would also like to welcome David Phillips from Papakura with ZK-BDB, and Roger
Hewett from the USA with ZK-BDE. Don’t panic, I am told that BDE is being rebuilt
in Rangiora and is staying here. Roger’s father was either one of the original owners or
pilot of BDE..
Safe Flying out There.
Ken
PLEASE REMEMBER:
We are no longer a club, we are a group of people that have a similar interest, being one of owning
and flying Cessna 180/185's and in that regard we meet several times a year for a social get together
over a weekend. Any flying activities entered into by any person is at their own decision and risk and
done so, to normal CAA rules directly under the pilot in command of that particular aircraft. You, as
“PILOT In Command" will always have the final say on WHERE, WHEN AND HOW YOU FLY
YOUR AEROPLANE.
